  2. To whom this may concern, I am in need of help and advice. I have a urinary diversion and stoma. I am extreamly active. I am currently looking to a new sport and need advice. • Hi Kathy,
It’s a great idea to prepare yourself for something new this way. The current UOAA Secretary goes on SCUBA expeditions at least yearly. You can see her photo at the top right on the home page of the UOAA site, though you might have to refresh the screen once or twice to get to it in the rotation. We will introduce the two of you so you can chat.
We hope you also have sampled comments about SCUBA on our discussion board at https://www.ostomy.org/forum/index.php . The search box is at the upper right.
Sources we have seen indicate that an internal ostomy would be of much greater concern for someone who wishes to SCUBA, doe to air expansion while ascending from a dive.
      Have a great time!
